“Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10
HAVE THE CONVERSATION: Advance Care Planning”

It is never too early and you are never too young to start thinking about making choices in a God pleasing, life respecting way. St. Peter is offering you an opportunity to learn more about healthcare options, “having the conversation” with your family members, and the process of choosing a Patient Advocate should you be unable to communicate your wishes. Give your family the priceless gift of an Advance Directive for Medical Care. There is no easy way to plan for future healthcare choices. It is a process that involves thinking and talking about complex, sensitive, and sometimes very difficult issues.

If you do not have an Advance Directive or want to affirm what you have completed, contact Paula, Parish Nurse, to make an appointment to discuss these issues.

“All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:16

Meal Care Partners Needed

Are you looking for a new way to serve your fellow members of the Body of Christ? Do you need a project that does not require a huge time commitment? Do you feel blessed to be a blessing? St. Peter has a group of dedicated people who prepare an occasional meal for a person or family going through a short-term difficult time due to illness, grief, or another stressful situation. We are currently looking to add to our list of persons willing serve in this manner. A Care Calendar is utilized to schedule these meals. You would be asked to prepare the meal and deliver it to the family on a one-time basis. If you or someone you know would benefit from receiving meals on a short term basis, please contact the church office or see below.

Blood Pressure Screening – Second Sunday of every month

High blood pressure is often silent and can cause significant health problems when not controlled. The Parish Health Team conducts blood pressure screening monthly between the 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. worship services.

Below are two helpful videos to help you understand how to administer CPR as well as use the AED devices that are in the building. Hopefully the need will never present itself but these will help equip you should the need arise.
